Sample Cover Letter for Schengen Visa - France

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good day!

I would like to apply for a Schengen visa for my intended visit to France and other countries within the Schengen Area from France, Switzerland to Italy.

I am applying through your embassy because I will be staying in France the longest. Of our 14 days in the Schengen Zone,  Five days (5) will be in Paris. My entry point and first stop is Paris on December 13, 2017.

The main purpose of my travel is tourism. Over the past 10 years, I have visited many countries including Japan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. This time, I would love to see Europe. I’ve always been fascinated by the French culture, architecture, history, and FOOD! I’m excited to see the Louvre, Notre Dame Church and the Eiffel Tower.

Please find attached a detailed itinerary of my intended 14-day stay, along with the accomplished visa form, hotel reservations, and other requirements.

1. Visa application form, duly dated and signed with photo
2. Original and Photocopy of my old passport showing my travel experience includes the stamps, visas and work visa permit.
3. Original and Photocopy  of New passport and my work visa permit
4. Original and Photocopy  of Flight reservation (round trip via Emirate Airlines)
5. Original and Photocopy  of Hotel Reservations in Paris, Lucerne and Florence  with the receipts via booking.com and confirmed dates.
6. Original and Photocopy  of Proof of Income: 3 months payslip  3 months transaction history and statement of account from Maybank ( Please take note the payslip may not vary from the bank statement as  some salaries may have been delayed or received late and my company had included it a month after.Also, July payslip has not been released however has been included on the bank statement.) and Efiling from Hazil.
7. Original and Photocopy  of Proof of employment: letter of absence including the dates signed by my Manager, Certificate of Employment.
8. Original and Photocopy  of Travel Insurance covering all the Schengen countries
9. 14 days Itinerary
